March/April Update

Hi everyone!
We hope and pray this update finds you well. Shaun and I just want to thank all of you for taking the time to read our updates and simply be a part of our lives! It means more than you know!

March was a blessed month! We had the privilege of Shaun’s mom, Cathy, coming to visit! She came out for two weeks to visit us and Michael, (Shaun’s younger brother) who is attending school here. We definitely did some traveling! We took her for the weekend to the castle in Austria, spent a day in Italy, and then on our way back went through Slovenia and stopped off at the lake in Bled. We also took some day trips to Pecs, Budapest, & Szekesfehervar, which are some larger cities around Hungary. It was so great to have her just spend a few weeks to get a glimpse of what goes on in these parts. Spending some time in our shoes!

Also in March we had our usual Speaker’s Week. That was a blessed time of digging in God's Word, worship, and fellowship with some friends and missionaries from around the world. One of the speaker’s was our dear friend, Mark Walsh. He served a pastor here and last summer he and his family moved to New Zealand to start a Bible School and to disciple those who live in the Pacific Rim. It was great to have him here again!

Also, Shaun got ordained as a pastor--a work that the other pastor’s here see as God’s call on his life. Phil really encouraged Shaun with the words Paul spoke to Timothy in 1Timothy 4v12-14. Verse 12 says “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Shaun and I feel so blessed to be doing what we know God has called us to; living a life of faith, pouring into others, and resting in the saving work of Jesus.

Next week (April 15-25) the students will be going on various 10-day outreaches to churches in Finland, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Serbia, and Ukraine. Please pray for God to work mightily in and through them! Shaun will be going to northern Serbia (Subotica) for a few days to help out with some construction work on the church.

Prayer Requests:
-please pray for us as we start to plan for the A Vision For Life summer youth program
-pray for the various outreaches
-pray for shaun and i and for continued love and grace in our marriage, as well as God's continued provision!
-please also pray for all of us (staff, interns, and students) that we would finish the semester well!

All the best in Jesus,
Shaun & Megan
